The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

Hadn't seen this for several years. Nostalgia wanted to make it better than it was but that didn't happen. It was only ok, as it was before.

I made the mistake of Watching Josie & Jack (2019) just now.

How does something like this get made the entire movie is sick, toxic & has no redeeming value.

There is a drunken college professor dad who is nasty & a narcissistic psychopath.he tries to lie his way up in the pecking order & gets caught & ruined.

He has a son & a daughter who eventually leave with no where to go & the son who is maybe 18...turns into his dad & violent murders a woman in a drunken rage because he felt insulted by her.
So the sister poisons him & goes ...oh end of story.

Shes 17 & has been terrorized probably all her life.
She is out in bars getting drunk almost all the time..wtf?

Storied like this are bad for people who DO Have really crappy parents in real life because almost no one is as bad as tre ones depicted in the movies.
SO therefore abused scarred child Can be LEAD to think it all could be so much worse.

this is the psychological equivalent of Rapey-Snuff porn.....

Remember that from the late 70s ...was it...?

The Hidden

Hadn't seen this in a while. Alien creature takes over humans. It likes fast cars, fast women, loud rock music. Sounds cool, eh? then it takes over politician running for president. My goodness, it must've gotten inside Trumpenstein! Not so cool now.

Considering it was made it the late 80s with all the fashions & lack of modern electronics, yeah, it did. The plot is still very good, there'd be no point in remaking it.

Ruby Sparks

An author creates a real life woman from his imagination. Should've been an inventive film but it was one trick pony and stupid.

Shriek of the Mutilated (1974)

Beyond cheap & cheesy flick that centers on college kids & their professor searching for a yeti. Very poor acting, unintentionally funny. The only good part was the hot long haired brunette who overacted in almost every scene she was in,

She (1984)

Sandahl Bergman as She, a self-appointed goddess in a post-apocalyptic earth. This isn't the usual Mad Max ripoff stuff, it's more Alice In Wonderland. best part was Quin Kessler as a stacked blonde warrioress. i searched for Quin Kessler on IMDb. She acted only a handful of roles before vanishing from the screen. Such a hottie! anywho, good movie.

Smilla's Sense of Snow (1997)

Read the book long before i saw the movie for the first time. Book is excellent. Movie does a good job considering there's so much to cover. Snow, math, prehistoric worms, Greenland, meteor, hot Julia Ormond. They oughta still remake this as a mini-series.

Zodiac (2007)

Iron Man, Hulk and Mysterio try to discover the ID of the killer. Great movie, hadn't seen it in a few years. i think Trumpenstein is the killer. Who else would kill & then brag about it to the press?

Spontaneous

Teens blow up. This wasn't too bad but it could've been better. The main actress reminded me of Alicia Silverstone when she was younger.

Living in the Material World

Really long documentary about George Harrison. Even then, they skipped a lotta stuff in his later years.

The Planters

Strange, dark comedy. Woman puts junk in tin cans, buries them in the desert & sells them. She takes in a woman drifter with multiple personalities. i liked it but i'm strange myself.

Love and Monsters

Seems like i've seen this plot played out a million times before. Boy travels through dangers to reunite with girl. They should've thrown in some new stuff to make it less predictable.

Not a good movie.

The Punisher, the one with John Revolting. This was so stoooooopid! The goofy sidekick, comedy relief guys in the apartment house was ridiculous. The plot was stoooopid and unlike the comic book in many ways. At least this was free on cable & i didn't pay for the garbage.
