Once Upon A Time in Hollywood was an utterly forgettable slog for me... in fact I forgot that I watched it until I saw this post...Man THATs forgettable ..LoL

Anna is a total La Femme Nikita Rip Off... but it was pretty good...

I also Watched Invasion an older Nicole Kidman movie it was good but the Forgotten was better..a better story for me.
What can I say I LOVE a twist ending where the twist is Space ALIENS !!!!

Invasion is an Invasion of the Body Snatchers redo.

FAKE NEWS! i never saw that movie.

i'm gonna tell yer buddy, Trumpenstein, on you, Faux News!

Ha Haaa go here I FOUND IT !!!!

the # 23

xc says....

Blah. Another waste of money ($4.60 divide by 2?)! It started off pretty good. Jim Carrey on the job; the dog who bit him; his wife finding the Number 23 book; the story in the book as Carrey read it. Fine & dandy. But it didn't add up to 23, oh no, the plot starting subtracting from sense to nonsense add came out um negative 23. If they'd take the number 23 nonesense out and just made it a thriller about Carrey's past life it might have worked better.

I seen Vivarium a couple tree weeks ago...I had forgotten all about it until I went to clear out my Watched folder ...
I was confused I remembered nothing until I opened it & scanned it a bit...

It was a Twilite Zone-ish movie with Jesse Eisenburg & Imogen Poots....probably the 1st thing I have ever seen her in.

It was okay... held its creepy mood fairly well, pretty & slow paced.
Ambiguous, umm... post-ending sequence. Im not sure I can recommend it.

today I went thru the Butterfly Effect Trilogy...the 1st one didnt age overly well...the second 2 I think I have not ever watched before..they were lame...
the weird thing is I fake memory-ed the hell outta them.. I thought I liked em all quite a bit..

I guess I confused them with the Final Destination series.. which I did enjoy.....I think ..LoL

SO I just done watched Windermere Children & Jen Lawrence's Mother!

Thankfully 20-30 minutes in to Mother I went to imdb & tried to learn a bit about the movie as it was confusing as what it was trying to be...

Their little Blurb reads as Follows:

A couple's relationship is tested when uninvited guests arrive at their home,
disrupting their tranquil existence.

Still unsatisfied I investigated a few reviews...

"The film is basically an allegory our entire existence, and then some. Him is G*d. Mother is Mother Nature or as Him calls her, home. Him creates man and woman as Mother Nature creates everything around them. The Poem is the Bible. The house is the world. The man is Adam, the woman Eve. The sons Cain & Abel. We then basically witness an insane, quick review from Christ to present time (about 20 minutes), and then the demise of mankind. The film's use of the crystal represents the 'Apple'."

I tend to watch movies superficially.this is why I HATED Snowpiercer it Completely failed any sane reality test....I could see what they were trying to do with the people on the train.. but the whole premise was to stupid for me to ignore it....

IT was a master insight into humanity from a 7 year old....& not an overly bright one ...

Knowing that Jen Lawrence was kinda supposed to represent Mother EARTH...as 1 viewer suggested...made a lot more Sense...Him=God...a narcissistic asshole who fucks everything up just to be admired..Check.. got it My view of him too...

Jen=mother earth who is trying to create a paradise ......Ok

all others represent biblical shit-heads to the present...
robbing,pillaging, destroying,killing....
way too many who just keep coming & causing chaos..

til there is nothing left..

Had I not been able to read this..

Im an atheist & X-tianity is a fable I have avoided as much as possible..
I just would have mistaken this for a boring piece of crap I wouldnt have finished watching..

SO now its a dopey piece of....?!? that I did finish....

lets just say that the movie has 6.6 stars outta 10 from many 9s & 10s & many 1s,2s,& 3s

Myself I'll just stick with the 6.6.....& ponder the gladiator line..."Are you Not Entertained??!"

Last of the Dogmen

This came out in the '90s. Barbara Hershey, Tom Barringer. About a lost tribe of Indians in Montana

i liked it. Wouldn't mind being lost in the wilderness, long as i had food, music, TV, PC...

Eternal Night

Early '70s flick starring a grown up, gorgeous Haley Mills as a rich chick marrying a poor dude in England. Plot twists at the end make the movie better. Glad i found this.

Cowboys & Aliens

Finally saw this. It was ok although predictable

It'd been more interesting if they did something different with the aliens, maybe involved historical figures from the time.

Well Another flop..... 1999's Beowolf

It Stars Christopher Lamerbutt....*Yawn*

He is marginally better than Steven Segal as usual.
But....Thats NOT why I have wanted to see this for Years....

It has Patricia Velasquez....that same year she was that Awesomely hot
Anck-Su-Namun
from the Mummy 1999..!!

Even more important this is one of Rhona Mitra's earliest starring roles...

She is the only Hollywood beauty that I can think of who can do an intmidting stare.. with just a glance!

No special angles or lighting.. she just looks at the camera & you know .. youre inna Heap of trouble...

She was a truly scary Vampiress in the suburban Horror TV show The Gates unfortuantely no one watched it...

Prob becoz they thought it was a prime time soap opera Which it was not.

Much Later she played a softer role as a Scientist in barely watchable {for me} Last Shipthis did not display her truest talent.

After that she was in The StrainWhich I tried really hard to watch..but I hated it with all my heart..

the 1st thing I saw her in wasDoomsday from 2008 I was Mightily Impressed but apparently hollyweird casting was not.

Well to get back to it this Beowolf was pretty lame even these 2 Uber babes couldnt save it.

But Im STILL glad I saw it...needed way more screen time for both of them..

I was too tired to do anything useful last nite so I watched an older movie.

Threads from 1984...It was made by the BBC.

Takes place in an English city named Sheffield.

Its a local look at what might have happened if a Reagan era US & the Soviet Union had Started a Nuke War.

IT wasnt very good...I have a 10 second jump button on my VLC media player..

I used it A LOT !!!

At least it didnt seem to be Scientifically inaccurate.

oh a small bomb hits near/on Sheffield....just one, it follows the story out to maybe 15 years after that or so...

I found the characters un-interesting and lame but its not about individuals ..its a more about the events.

Its humorous how old the technology is....all wire telephones & paper docs.there are a few pre-Windows DOS computers around but there not really used.

I coulda swore I had already mentioned this...
maybe it failed to post.

I saw a Russian movie about the German invasion into Belarus a few nights ago.

Its the story as seen by a,say,15 year old boy.

It was pretty good....Painfully long close up shots of lil dork boys face with a frozen expression of Who-Knows-What on it...

HAY I dont read Russian even on faces..

I dunno if I would recommend it.
