i saw Captain Marvel the other night. It was okay, just okay. The actress who played her looks like the comic book character & is pretty but she didn't seem right for the part. She was kind of boring.

i could see Brit Marling, Teresa Palmer or even JenLaw do better in that role. Worse of all, Mar-vell was a woman. Still, it was a watchable movie.

I agree completely..!
I was a bit underwhelmed.

Ive finally saw Avengers:Endgame.

I enjoyed it all the way up to the end..
A big stupid battle...Really..?? Why?

Then dopey Capt Marvel flys in to save the day...but not really
They shoulda used Mighty Mouse instead,
at least it would have been amusing.

I did enjoy watching it.. but .. on reflection, what it all means is that the MCU is ready to 'Jump the Shark'

All the good actors are gone.
All the good characters are gone.At least in their best realization.
All the good stories are gone too I fear.

Spider-man my VERY fave when I was a kid, peaked with Toby Maguire.
the reboots forget that Spider-man was cool Peter parker was not.

In the sickening dreadful A. Garfield crap PP was too Sexy/Cool.

In the MCU one Neither is the least bit cool...

Capt Marvel is a Dud.

Mark Ruffalo just seems too too stupid to play Bruce Banner.

It appears none of these actors will return:

Chris Hemsworth...best fit for an Awesome Thor character Ever.
Chris Evans ...perfect Capt America
Robert Downey Jr.....one & only Ironman/Tony stark.

Scarlett Johansson.....needed WAY WAY more screen time.
It appears they will make a Black Widow movie now that she is...ummm....
the good thing is that {blank} really means nothing in the comic book realm..LoL
quote:

They pissed off Natalie Portman who woulda made a great new Thor.

Im fearing a very mediocre future.

There are some fantastic actresses that are still unused but I cant thing of any good youthful male actors.....offhand

Mary Elizabeth Winstead would make a great female Thor, if they decided to go that way like they did in the comics for a while.

i saw a movie called Hundra lately. It's a 1983 movie about a warrior princess going on tirade about her village being attacked. Sound familiar? She's got a Xena-like attitude. Unfortunately, hot as the actress is playing Hundra, the movie was pretty cheesy.

Saw a movie called Sahara the other night. Action/adventure type movie, starring Matthew McConaughey and Penélope Cruz (yes, i had to copy & paste their names).

It was predictable as all get out but i didn't get too bored with it.

Seen Spiderman Far From Home today.

i have a few issues with this movie but i won't give away any spoilers

i will say that the actress who plays Mary Jane is terrible. She's like a slacker kid. MJ is supposed to be a red head, a future model, a you-hit-the-jackpot when you date her type. But the recent MJ is a mumbling, nerdy, slacker, lazy & boring chick that Peter Parker would not be interested in. There was no chemistry between them. i had no problem when they made Nick Fury a black man (he's white in the comics) but when they start changing characters to be politically correct or some stupid crap to draw in more people$, then the movies really start to suck.

i had other issues with the film, especially towards the end but i won't say anything for the sake of spoilers.

Hay! I Saw-ed EggsMen Dork FeeNix!!!

I was never reallt satisfied with any of the Xmen movies ..this 1 was Fantastic IMO...

I lked it bettr than Avengers-End Game.

I would say that Sam Raimi's Spider-man with Toby Maguire was the best. Its all been down hill since then.

I saw a list of up coming Marvel movies.. I was underwhelmed only "black Widow really stood out.

maybe not even another ant-man...

Whats wrong with people?
THAT is always funny.

the box office was low... bass turds

Saw "Yesterday" about a singer who has an accident on a bike, comes to in a world where the Beatles never existed & starts playing their music as if he wrote their songs. It was okay, sappy at the end.

Also saw "Blinded By the Light" about a UK Pakistani who becomes a huge Springsteen fan. Based on a true story but also very corny at the end.

Saw 'Once Upon A Time in Hollywood". Leo DiCrapio,
Brad Pitt & hot Margot Robbie are in this. Excellent flick, especially at the end.

Also saw "Anna", which is like Nikita or Atomic Blonde. Hot blonde assassin movie. Fun stuff.

I found & downloaded a movie called Superman,Red Son..I thought it odd that I had never heard of it... its from this year too...

Well, its a cartoon....a pretty good one...

I have tried many of the acclaimed JapAnime-Hentai cartoons.
I have not been able to finish 90% of them.

this one was fun-ish..the Voice actor sounds ALOT like one of the ones in Skyrim....

but Its not him bizarrely its Jason Issacs...if 1 can believe them Lyin Hollywood credits...

Oh yeah I also watched I am Mother which reminded me of a Harlan Ellison Sci-fi short story...

not alot happens but its well done, with that slightly sinister/creepy feel.
I'd say its a 7 outta 10 for me.

Neither of these movies is particularly memorable but they werent a waste of time either.

Ok...so I need to see some stuffs that Ive acquired....

I watched possibly my fave Julianne Moore movie.. The Forgotten...

Her boy has died & slowly everyone around her forgets that he ever existed...

He even disappears from pictures taken long ago.. etc.

Its a wee bit less fun knowing before hand whats gonna happen but I enjoyed the hell outta it anyways.

ALso I watched the 93 minute version of Ultraviolet { see what I did there?}

That was alrite ....a bit too 'stylish' for its own good...

but interestingly...its during a global pandemic of contagious 'Vampirism"

SO everyone is wearing alla their PPE.. Smile
quite a timely touch..

but the most awesum-iest part is this quote by the corporate baddie:

quote:
What is someone like me... someone with a job do do going to use...
to keep order in a society that left to itself would
sprint towards Chaos like an Olympic event...

Duz THAT dee-scribe xc's Trumplandia or what..??

Trumplandia is BrucE's department.

i saw The Invisible Man recently.

It was less about him than his ex-girlfriend. It was okay but had some big plot holes. Screenwriters ought to think these things out before committing to screen.
