Got around to seeing this year's Oscar winner.

Written by the same pen as "Million Dollar Baby" and it shows.

Once again a depressing film with no real resolution.

Got a bit sick and tired of all the irony and social sadism and satirical, offbeat observation. If you get that sentence you'll get what I mean.

Certainly not a waste of time, with some beautiful imagery and brief glimpses of hope for some of the characters. Not a film I'd give a second viewing, however.

As Kath would say, "It was good. I didn't agree, but it was good".
