Right, if you are reading this you have no reason to complain if you get spoiled.

I saw this film tonight with friends.

It was nowhere near the worst Star Wars film I have seen (thanks Phantom Menace), but also wasn't great.

There were no new ideas in it. I didn't find it as fresh as Rogue One, which had a very different take on what to expect from a Star Wars film.

The performances were solid, there just wasn't much substantial drama that the actors could sink their teeth into.

My favourite moments were L3 liberating all the other droids, and the reveal of Darth Maul at the end.

There were some formidable talents that were just wasted. Thandie Newton and Woody Harrelson are capable of much stronger work than what they were given. Paul Bettany is too, although I believe his character was sort of squeezed in at the last moment.

The actors playing Han and Lando were passable.

If you are a die hard Star Wars fan I would wait for this to hit Netflix, rather than paying money to see it.

2.5/5 smash

Yeah... I have no enthusiasm for this.

the kid hasnt the charisma to replace Harrison Ford...but then who does.

I'll see it when I see it, I guess.

I mean its not like its Lord of The Rings or anything,is it?

Why is it easier to fool the masses than it is to convince them that they have been fooled...?
