Well I'm not surprised Elliot went.

I gave up. I liked Chris. No more Chris. Not complaining though. I have no right to gripe. I do not vote.
I'll tune in for the last 40 seconds on Wednesday to see who the winner is... or maybe I'll just catch it on the news on Thursday morning.
Bah.

Yeah Taylor did a better job but I want Katherine to win. But I bet it will be close. There's something about Taylor I don't like.

I know I said I wouldn't watch too. I lied.It was on before House. Wink
I suppose Taylor is the better performer. Something about his ass-dance annoys me but okay he did a good job. Still not sure that I particularly *want* him to "make every song (his) own" but whatever.
Katherine may win though. There are a lot of little girls with her up on a pedestal. Those same little girls have cell phone access, speed dial and lots of time.
Could happen.

"ass-dance"--lol.

i think he just needs to totally spaz ala Joe Cocker. as it, he's not weird enough to be unique...he just looks goofy. and when he does the slower, more soulful stuff it's like he's too mellow and his voice isn't interesting enough to carry the performance.

Katherine has the look and personality working, but her voice is just weak. and imo she too lack emotion in her delivery.

this is not their best season...worst since the first imo.

lila, I could not stop thinking about you when Dionne started singing.

Who else here thought Mary J was amazing?

and who else thought the whole Clay thing was a riot? What's up with that hair? Yes, he has an amazing voice, but he looks like he is the opening act for Sigfreak and Roy. Where were the ty-gahs?

Heee! I pictured us driving to the casino singing at the top of our lungs like a car full of fools! Good times.

Mary J kicked ass (not to be confused with the ass-dance) but ummm, Toni Braxton...errr...lip synch ?? Badly??

And what about the McPheetloaf number? What was up with that???
Wasn't this supposed to be the contestant's singing with their own idols? I have a hard time believing that Meatloaf is Katherine's idol. Eh, but what do i know...

edited to add: I barely recognized Aiken. He may as well have come out wearing a red nose and big floppy shoes. I physically backed away from my television set. It was scary.

Thanks zoom. I'm kind of proud of McPheetloaf too.
Sometimes being under rested and over-caffeinated has it's creative benefits. Wink

Although I was rooting for "McPheetloaf" I am happy that Taylor won. Couldn't happen to a nicer feller. He could probably stop yelling soul patrol every five minutes. It's starting to get old.
