Ya know, earlier today Arista asked me if I thought there might be a "Rent" film performance or float or something. At the time I was not sure. I should have realized that the answer is "no". Rent is not currently being aired on NBC.

(I think some of MommaNora's cynical-ism is rubbing off on me....)

Michael Feinstein...you know, you'd think he could have pulled a Gershwin song for this rather than--I don't have words to describe it. I remember MF on Larry King once talking about TinPan Alley songwriters would never come right out and say what a song was about in the lyrics. I wish that modern songwriters would learn that lesson.
