What songs are playing on your jukebox?
We have a CD we just got that we've been playing at work, and it actually has a song by Blondie I've never heard before. It's called "Good Boys". I love that song. I could listen to nothing but that song all day. Big Grin

Your Hidden Talent

You have the natural talent of rocking the boat, thwarting the system.
And while this may not seem big, it can be.
It's people like you who serve as the catalysts to major cultural changes.
You're just a bit behind the scenes, so no one really notices.

In the last week i've been getting into the Lily Allen album, Alright, Still pretty heavy. Lotta great songs here, especially "LDN", "Smile", "Everything's Just Wonderful", "Shame for You", "Littlest Things" and "Friend of Mine". Dunno if the album is album has been released anywhere but England yet but it's worth hunting down.

i was workin' in my music room today and groovin' to:

Fela Kuti's Stalemate/Fear Not For Man two-fer-one-cd Afro-funk albums

and

Joanna Newsom's Ys which is the darling album of the indie set but still pretty good.

Got more work to do in the music room so on the music room juke(boom)box i'm planning on revisiting the The Raconteurs cd and maybe a jazz comp and perhaps Margot & the Nuclear So & So's. Work needs good music!

Been nothing but Jazz for a couple weeks now. Mostly Miles Davis, some John Coltrane, Donald Harrison, Norman Brown, and a little Annie Lennox and Shelby Lynn thrown in for good measure.

Talking about jazz, I've been listening to a Cleo Laine CD called "Words".

It's all her pieces from her "Shakespeare and all that Jazz" album, along with some other poets, like T.S. Eliot, set to music.

Sublime.

LOL - I know you were describing your new CD, but I was playing a Sublime CD in my truck this morning! Some don't realize that their music has a fairly heavy Jazz influence. More of a Caribbean twist, but still remarkably connected.
