I can't get the drawer to open or the discs to change. So all I hear is the first ten tracks or so of _Interpol_ _Antics_

I had an old dvd player on which the drawer would sometimes not open. I'd unplug it for ahwile (a longer while as time went on) & after plugging it back in, it'd open. Nowadays, every once in awhile my car player will refuse to give up the disc, until after the car's off for a spell. Silly contraptions!

Toxicity is a fabulous album. Love System of a Down. Smile

Listening on the comp to: Interpol Antics (Nora's fault)

And other various songs:

Shine - by Dolly Parton (everyone needs to hear this version of Soul Asylum's song from the '90s. Very blue grassy and neat, done in collaboration with Nickel Creek)

Every Day Love - Rascal Flatts. There's something wrong with me, I know

Cherub Rock - Smashing Pumpkins. Old school is the best school

Flying without Wings - West Life. Again something wrong with me

Baby Got Back - Sir Mix-A-Lot. Cause this song rocks

Roll to Me - Del Amitri. One of the best bands ever!

My CoCo - Stellastar. This band grew on me, reminds me of Blondie.

Holly Golightly "Slowly But Surely"
- second fave female vocalist, right after Neko Case

Surf Coasters "Surfdelicious"
- Japanese surf instrumental band goes industrial- and it sounds gnarly

V/A "Greetings from Area Code 207 Vol.5"
- alt rock, alt country, some jazzy stuff, cool unheard bands

V/A "Sunday Nights- Tribute to Junior Kimbrough"
- oh heck yeah, rockin blues, Black Keys, Iggy & the Stooges(!), Fiery Furnaces excellent

The Detroit Expierement "s/t"
- jumpy electronica jazz, laid back jazz, some hip hop, lotta fun

Playing on the comp right now:

L'Arc en Ciel - Ready Steady Go (from Full Metal Alchemist)

BOA - Every Heart

Do As Infinity - Fukai Mori

V6 - Change the World

Porn Graffitti - Melissa (from Full Metal Alchemist)

Dream - My Will

Y'know what's sad? I can't stand American pop music. Hate it, loathe it, die pop music. Practically all the music I listen to in Japanese IS pop though and I love all those songs. Can listen to 'em over and over again.

Weird. Razz

NO WAY! I just bought that today with my Christmas money and shoved it straight in the car CD player.

How much do I love this album? Their sound is mellowing and I like it. I'm kicking myself that I didn't see them play recently in Sydney.

Ares is a big Maroon 5 fan. Would you recommend their album?

Hee, love that Donnas CD! Would like to see them live. Hmmmm...I should check their tour dates...

I don't know much about Maroon 5's other stuff but I like the Songs About Jane CD (it's the only one I have and I bought it with my Christmas money Wink). A lot of the tracks have been released so they are familiar and the others are good as well. Tell Ares it's worth it, IMO.
