Nuns!

Eek Big Grin Eek Big Grin

It has been a while since we have been here, so if our memories serve us right, is/was it Shawn who is/was scared of nuns? blush blush

So are you scared of us?

We are fairly sure it is lila997 who is scared of clowns.

*shudder* Don't forget me, I hate clowns too- they're so freaky. Only reason why I dressed up as a clown for a couple of years in a row (for Halloween)...because I thought it was a scary costume. Razz

Now nuns...I can see a reason to be scared of them too. Yardsticks. Razz

But Twinxenas are too cute to be scary. Smile

It rains on my bed
When you are not here
I'm not afraid of dying
But I am afraid of losing you

Maybe I'm addicted
I'm out of control
But you're the drug that keeps me from dying
Maybe I'm a liar
But all I really know
Is you're the only reason I'm trying..."

Sorry ladies - have been quite busy at work and haven't had much time online.

Yep - that was me - freakishly afraid the nun. I have a 'habit' of running from them Wink

Never was scared of clowns, always a lil scared of nuns because of horror stories my parents told me, not just about yardsticks either.

As a kid i was scared of trash trucks and the city dump. Those machines that eat up the trash are just freaky. *shudder*

I saw a real live nun a while back. Not the hovering across the ground kind but the denim jumper and a habit kind. Young too.

I find the whole thing just hard to grasp.

i'm sorry but i have to say this: everytime i look at this thread from the main board, i think it's going to say "which scroller is/was scarred for life?" i haven't read this thread nor do i know what it's about, but for some reason i was just compelled to share another chapter of my pre-emptive dislexia with you all.

i apologise for any inconvenience.

~having read the thread, i'd like to add, i fear clowns. although, after years and years of watching krusty the clown, it kind of takes the edge off...a little...*peers nervously over shoulder*

I saw a nun in the healthfood store a few weeks ago. I can't remember if I've mentioned it. She was talking to...someone...the whole time. Now, there didn't appear to be anyone there, but you don't know. Maybe she had a little devil on one shoulder and an angel on the other..."Get the non-dairy ice cream, it's better for you"..."Come on! Live a little!" etc. Plus she was about 130 years old. I was about to say she wasn't scary at all, but looking back yes, it was pretty creepy, what with the ancient appearance, the talking, and the full body habit.

--edited to say that it was probably more of the head thing with a shapeless black dress, stockings, and shoes, than the whole old-fashioned habit shebang. oh, I don't know, I was raised a United Methodist.

--still, with the talking to nobody...
