Pick two things you remember about the Scrolls. This incarnation or any other. Or pick more than two. It'll be fun. Seriously.

I remember:

Ame, being the sig pic police. She'd go around and check people's signature to make sure they were the right size. What a hard ass! Wink

Scrollers who used to send each other post cards from various places and report here when they'd gotten them.

So...what do you remember?

I remember a 2nd scrolls just for chatting that Ame(?) created, so that the old scrolls wouldn't crash. I remember it was pretty much abandonded after awhile then SX & I started chatting there on a regular basis.

I remember the add-on scroller story threads that were usually (i think) started by tiki.

I remember gettin bit by Linxi- several times.

I remember Robyn & Donna murdering scrollers- ok, that was a dream i had but it was so vivid!

I rememebr a Scrolls before there were trolls...

I remember a scroll when a thread 'died' if it drifted back to page 2...

I remember when posting to the scrolls did NOT move a thread to the top of the page nor move it to the front page...

I remember a scrolls that fit on just one page for nearly 2 weeks.
I remember a scrolls wher you had to idenify yourself each time you posted.. but you could post as anyone/anything you liked..

I remember a scroll that used to load 1 reply(!)at a time...!!

that was work to read in a rapidly changing thread..!!!

I remember when it would have taken me over a half an hour to type in this reply...Smile

well Tom was moderating, maybe you were too??? or maybe that happened right after? I remember when it was just 1 mod Smile. I know I lurked a bit and had a different handle for a couple of weeks before i actually go brave and posted. The next recollection I have of mods after that is when Robyn etc were put in as mods (is that when we made forums?) if so I am sure that there is quite a bit of history in there that I am totally forgetting-lol!

onward...

I remember when there were no sig pics.

I remember how excited I was to find Tom's page.

I remember not quite knowing what to think of the scrolls and being too chicken to post.

I remember trying to come up with a cool name and failing ending up being just plain ol' Shawn.

I remember being freaked out that we were leaving the original format and then how relieved I was when the forums actually made it easier to find threads.

I remeber being a mod.

I remember Laura, Terps, Becky, Ryan, Ether, Robynne (not to be confused with Robyn, i think), Sharona, some guy named Ully and some other guy named Alan and some wallet thief named Alana (ok, we both were wallet thiefs of the newbies).

I remember Ame's Temple where we posted when the scrolls were down.

I remember the Xena ep rating threads, which were started by Tarena (i think) and then continued by cousin lila997.

I remember the ep rating threads--they were fun!Big Grin

I remember the very last ep of xena and everyone seeing it at different times--and freaking right out and some of them spoiled it for others and got banned--and at the same time the USA board was still alive and people were spoiling it there too--in fact, grrr i found out what happened when i hung out at USA one day! arrrg!Mad

I remember the thread with no home, that was funny!Big Grin

I remember the scrolls used to crash from time to time and I lost some perfectly good poetry that way ARRRG so i started saving my poetry on my harddrive since then.Smile

I remember people put up pics of the cons, and i always wished i could have gone!

I remember the SPAM thread! That was a RIOT! Tiki, remember that??

I remember the fight club used to be for arguments amongst scrollers(as well as other such things)but you hardly ever see that anymore yayyyyy!(not that a good argument doesn't clear the air sometimes but it's nice to see people gettin along so well these days!SmileBig Grin

I remember xena montages! Nice ones too!

I remember meeting Argy and Ares in New York before 9/11 and eating my first tim tam and overall having a blast with them.Smile

I remember Argy's post about 9/11--"Holy Crap!" it said--and I saw everyone's reaction to it as it was happening. Freaky.

I remember xc's thread where everyone said something like "i like cheese. I have bellybutton lint." Or something. lol, that was fun

On this incantation, I remember discovering the What if THread, seeing new forums dedicated to various shows, great idea, even MOVIES get a place, which means my Johnny Depp is welcome WEEEEE--seeing old people return, talking politics on the fight club from time to time, overall being in a different place than i was in the old scrolls and really lovin it!

Anyway--ONWARD!

About the sig pic police thing sara first mentioned.

I used to have an old comp, with a 33 modem.

Anything bigger than the sig pic size which is LAW may i add, killed my comp.

I had to police or not be able to read posts, cause they didn;t load.
