For some reason Xena looks a bit older in your drawing than she should, to me. I think it's something to do with her mouth. It might be a bit lower down than it should be?

Gabrielle looks closer, especially in the thumbnail.

Ah yes! That's it - the shadows.

Particularly that one running from the lower corner of Xena's nose to under her chin.
