well, i;ve been a slack ass, but now i have finished watching the oc s1 and can't get my hands on s2 at least for a few days, i might try and catch up on the last few eps of the XEC

Picture it The whole western theme fight with the sound effects
Subtext The disappointment on Gab's face when she finds out Xena's pregnant, and at the end when Xena refers to family
Any extra commentary I liked the episode. Xena being cooey over a teddy bear was hilarious.

The scene where Gabrielle is trying to feed apple to her new horse.

G: "Hi. Whoo! Whoa, boy. Whoa. Come on, Xena. Race ya to Greece?"

X: "I don't know if you're ready for that."

G: "Are you chicken?"

X: "No, just being considerate. We race to Greece, and you won't be able to walk straight for a month."


Dislikes:
I usually don't mind it but some of the bodily humour was not needed.

Picture it!:
Some of the shots in the beginning with Gabby in the snow. I love that coat. It makes her look like an angel.
And I still love the shots coming from the Gabby/horse scene.

Subtext:
Lots of jealous/confusion coming from Gabby concerning the origins of the baby.

Any extra commentary:
When I look back at the history of Xena I have to say this episode stands out in my mind as one of the differant routes they took. I loved the feel of it.
