SalemKath & Kim
Random question: Who is everyones favourite character?

ArgeauxIt's hard to go past Kath and Kim as favourites, and I can't choose between the two.
Oh, all right, Kath.
Apart from them I like Brett. He's just so straight-faced. The fact that he's still in love with Kim, and likes her as she is, is just so endearing.

I'm not really that keen on Sharon. I actually think she is Magda's weakest character. I've liked others she's played over the years a lot better.

FahrenheitOh man. umm....Kath, I guess, though it's very, very close between her and Kim. In fact sometimes it's probably Kim.
Of course Prue and Trude are my favorite non-regular characters.
My son likes Sharon

SalemIt is a really hard decision, isn't it?
Mine alternates between the three foxy ladies, but for the most part it is Sharon, because I can relate: Accident prone, unlucky in love, a bit desperately lonely and pretty much always the second best friend, heh heh

My mum likes Kath. I want her and my dad to dance like Kath and Kel at my sisters wedding, just like they do at the end of 'Old'

SalemBreaking news!
Sharon Strzelecki will be appearing on Rove Live next week!

I'm so excited for her, but I hope she can stay in character, if the dvd bloopers are anything to go by :P
Whee!

SalemA Question for Heitie:
In the episode 'Old', near the end when Kath goes to that bar and starts dancing, what kind of music was playing?
Because when I was watching this on Ame's DVD, it was just... generic music?
On my DVD, she's dancing to Britney Spears 'Oops I Did it Again'. I also noted there was a lot of other changed music throughout the episode.
I wasn't ready for anything different.
So I was just curious as to what got shown on TV there

FahrenheitOh, sorry! I didn't see this until just now. I'll run and check...
Alright, it's this techno mix with some girl singing something over and over. I can't tell what it is, though. heh, no help there...

SalemFor Heitie's amusement:
Kath busting a move at the Logie Awards:
Kim making a few people sick..
The dancers move too much and make my images blurry!

FahrenheitThey had "Obsession" scheduled for last night. *sigh* "The Moon" again.
grrr...
19 December 2004, 06:21 AM
SalemOh MAN that sucks!
How dare they continue to do this

You should write them a very stern letter.
Why must they keep this episode from you

FahrenheitI did write a stern e-mail, even while "The Moon" was still on. I asked that they either play it or explain why they won't, and if they won't they should please stop advertizing it.
I wrote them the last time this happened and never heard back, so I'm not optimistic.
sigh

SalemDamn

I'll keep my fingers crossed they reply.
Waybe you should write to ABC or Gina and Jane somehow and explain how their show is being treated and then they can take matters into their own hands..

FahrenheitAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!
They showed Obsession on Sunday morning but the time had changed the night before so I MISSED IT! I caught the last like 6 minutes.
My person is still racked with sobs.
*sniff*...no...noooooo...*weird crying breathing*

SalemOh deary me

At least it's a step in the right direction. The episode does actually exist on the channel, so there's a chance they'll rerun it and you'll get to see it in full, yay!

Now to wait several years for season 3...

Madogisamericans wary of kath and kim (apparently):

FahrenheitYyyyyesss.... College students in Kentucky. A handful of Bible Belt kids isn't really a broad cultural sampling of Americans, thank goodness. My guess is that they're uncomfortable with quite a lot. I'm pretty sure most of the rest of us can tell that the characters aren't real people. geez, my ten year old son....

03 May 2005, 09:29 AM
ArgeauxI thought the article was trying to say that the students were uncomfortable with the fact that they felt invited into the world of the characters, who were then made fun of.
A sense of being uncomfortable at the idea of making fun of people in low socioeconomic situations. Not that the students were uncomfortable with Kath and Kim in general.

Fahrenheithm. I'm watching 'Party' on the Sundance channel and it seems the channel I saw it on before had cut a scene or two. I hadn't ever seen Sharon in that shop with the boobs and little hopping...dealy.
hee

13 July 2006, 08:43 AM
SalemHehe, what a thrill to discover some new footage

I like when the shop lady asks something like if they've got a bit of beefcake lined up, and Sharon says "Nah, Mrs D's a vegetarian" and the lady is all "...okay"
^_^
I love 'Party'

"I shouldn't be doing this.. *pashes taxi driver*"
