TiggsWPPhantom of the Opera
Okay, so can anyone tell me why, in Phantom of the Opera, they always talk about holing your hand at the level of your eyes? What is that in reference to? If this question has already been asnwered on this board and I missed it, please forgive me.

ArgeauxIt's to stop the Phantom from being able to strangle you with a noose, which he is known for.
If your hand is in front of your eyes, and he slips a noose around your neck, you will be able to get out of it more easily by using the hand caught inside the loop.

TiggsWPThank you we've been trying to figure that out. No onw I know has really seen anything besides the new movie. We're a bit ignorant.
Thanks for the help Argy.
BTW, haven't seen you on AIM lately, have I just been missing you?

ArgeauxYou can figure it out from the bit in the movie where the bloke is telling the dancers about the legend of the Phantom. He mentions putting your hand at the level of your eye and demonstrates how it stops the noose.
I haven't been on AIM very much lately - it's Summer here and I've been hanging out by the pool.
I might try to jump on later this week.

ArgeauxShameless!
By the way - I've been watching tons more of Charmed Season 1 and enjoying it.
Although, I STILL say they kill off their baddies too quickly/easily.
