been looking for a great music forum without luck.

the friendliest music forums are always genre-specific.

General music forums tend to attract trolls & ppl who like dopey music (britney, lady gag me, etc).

i do belong to a number of genre-specific music forums but it gets annoying stickin to same genre all the time.

Music Banter may be the best general music forums but there's too much junk & too tough to get good discussions either from too many newbies or from oldies in their cliques.

Makes me miss Metacritic forums which was a fine general music board before it got bought & taken down.

I do spend sometime at Firefox Add-ons Site
Heres some of the must haves IMHO:

Do Not Track me]/b]...blocks tracking cookies...at least the ones its aware of...

Its blocked 350 THOUSAND for me in the last 2-3 months...

[b]Ad Blocker... Not Ad Blocker Plus....Its not so good..


Right to click this one stops the infuriating webpages that place a Javascript malware that DISABLES YOUR/MY right mouse button.. this should be illegal along with everything eles that ANY Company/website downloads onto your computer unaware & unwanted...

I have more on the other computer.

These I have tried but turned off..

No Script I Want to love this Extension ..It makes ALL Java & Javascript & pretty much any other script ask for permission before it can operate on your Computer..

Unfortunately its almost immpossible to use & breaks too many sites that I go to .No matter what I do they just dont work.


One is called GUI:config & it promises to allow you to have access to some of the useful on/off items in Firefox's about:conifg
It loaded..has no icon to use it & I couldnt see anything in About:conifg that made it any easier to use ..so I disabled it

There are No Instructions & no where like a message board,to whine about it....Maybe it just doesnt work with my version of Firefox..?

I also have Page Tweak turned on but Im not sure its doing much for me...

One of the largest annoyances on the web for me is click-linked pop-ups or pop unders eb=ven moreso..

Usually there are a limited number of sites that I need to block form doing this..

A regular pop-up blocker should not block a clicked on link....but it also really cant sort out when a Clicked item opens MANY links.

WHat I want & you would think it would be the easiest thing is a Blacklist of annoying spam site I NEVER EVER Want to visit...just a little list of website offenders who never would be missed

Icannot find one I have treid a fww that are for weak willed people who cant stop going to fave sites ... while at work say...But they dont just ignore the site they open a pop-up& make me go close it often after the ANNOYING site has already thrown up a ''DO you really want to leave'" Javascript pop-up..

Im thinkin maybe greasemonkey would have what I need but it seems to be having difficulties with its scripts page lately..

Is Something to allow me to have a useable low contrast option for my poor old eyes.

Windows 8 theme seems to be Bright white on white on white....I changed to a high contrast them & it Borked up E V E R Y THING... even my web browsers...
All of the Pix vanished most of the buttons to do things Vanished ..WTF???


There are some FFox add ons like Color Changer & I Hate White .. that might be useful

I will even back pedal a few versions to get something I can look at without eyestrain & a headache after an hour....

I also tried the Dark Zorin Theme on my Linux Box ..Amazing it did the EXACT same thing...

FFox Add-On called Screen Dimmer puts a cthru darkener over the webpage..its Too Dark, but I can alter it by page so its useable...

Believe it or not I Have still not found anything like this...There is a
way to set up a 'hosts file'
But I have never found an explanation I could understand enuff to duplicate.

these are the FireFox add-ons I use now....

NoScript...I understand it better & the newer version is a bit more user friendly.
It prevents websites & 3 rd party anuses from doing crap you dont want done.. to your comp..

uBlock origins... assists with ad-blocking when I need to allow Javascript on a site..
Privacy badger...I REALLY Hate being tracked on the 'net.. I feel like Ive been violated girly man..ya know?

Self-destructing cookies..Amazing if the page is open the cookies are ther..if not They are gone..!!!!
