Im on dial-up myself.
Im not sure what browser youre using.
{I detest IE & ANYthing Micorsoft,myself.} evil

On the Mozilla Firefox 1.5.xx Im using rite now no pix is accomplished by..clicking:

Tools
Options

then selecting content

there is a check/uncheck choice to allow pix to load or not..

Im fairly sure you can right click & get a menu choice to laod pix individually so you then have the best of both worlds..ummm.... Big Grin sorta..

I know this used to exist on Internut ExxxPlorer.
I dont know if it does or not..anymore
& honestly cant tell you where/how to find it.

I hope that helps & good luck with it.

Heh, not a problem, Failte. Makes sense, and it's fun to hear your anecdotes. ^^

Br&cy! Firefox here! AND OpenOffice.org!

And when I get a chance to play with it - Linux will be going back on my laptop (although I haven't decided which one... maybe Ubuntu...).

Right now, I'm on a Red Hat box. You... you wouldn't be a Linux fanboy, wouldja?

And btw: I was born in '61. Can anyone top that?

(usually... they can't... sigh)

Yay!!eleven11! I'm not the oldest!

Although... I have NO IDEA who is, goddammit. Isn't that XenaFairy? I'm pretty sure it's not Tam... despite the T's in the name - wrong sig, and the T's aren't capitalized.

Gah.

And wtf is the deal with so many of you being in Texas? It's just weird...

Further clarity re: names...
I don't change mine often but if/when I do it will always contain some form of 997.

Tiny bit older than Shawn/ Whiskey Sour and Tam, tiny bit younger than you, zoom, Brucy etc.

Oh, and I like who I like.

It's wrong that I'm so amused at Jack's inability to keep everyone straight *snerk*, isn't it?

Ah well, he isn't friends with me because I'm nice. Razz

I'm an Oklahoma refugee myself. I've only been in Texas a little over a year. You gotta go where you make money. Smile

Oklahoma! Me too! Born in Duncan, highschool'd in Tulsa, college'd in Norman, lived in Tulsa. Don't intend to go back, though. The summers just freakin' kill me.

And Sara - yeah, yeah, you've known all these people for years, and can tell who everyone is (and actually know WHO they are, rather than just their names) just by their choice of sig - even if it changes. Oh, I know... And I'm perfectly fine being the "weird new guy who posts too much" for awhile. Meanwhile, I'm taking YOUR word that these people are cool. Smile Just as they're taking yours about me, I guess..

Anyway - I'm only friends with you because you said you'd send me your panties through the mail. You DID send 'em priority, right? Cuz otherwise they might lose... something... by the time they get here.

blush

Stillwater (go pokes!) for undergrad/grad, Norman for law school, Tulsa for the law office. Fort Worth cuz that's where I found a job with an actual pay check.

<sniff> Does this mean I'm no longer Sara's favorite thing from Oklahoma? Wink

You... you know the road between Stillwater and Tulsa?

You've been through Yale?

I LIVED IN YALE!

Gawd. Small 'net.

Hell, yeah, I remember Yale. You had to go freakin' 35 through that town 'cuz of the cop sitting at the bottom of the hill.

"stop being hard of the beav?" lol

Smirk - I left Yale (worked in Tulsa at the time - a 50-mile commute. Twice a day) two years ago.

We must have been there at the same time. Odd I didn't notice ya. Smile

I worked in the CitiPlex Towers my last year there. Yeah. The "City of Faith". It was kind of embarrassing... but on the other hand, the place DID have kind of a campy, 1950's sci-fi feel about it.

I think I'll be okay as long as it's just Tam and Zoom who keep changing their names. Yeah, I know. Now the rest of 'em will start... Sigh.

No one's ever called me "Sparky" before...

Sara says I'm entertaining because I'm "charmingly naive". Fah! I'm a sophisticated man-of-the-world! I'm swavey and de-boner! Dammit! I do what I want, when I want and where I - oh shit, told the wife I'd be home by 4. I gotta f'ing go...

*edit for the cursing. no f words outside of Fight Club.
