FailteIntroducing Failte
She is? Ewww... that's gotta suck. 'Specially for Gabber.

<When I was just a little girl,
I asked my mother "What will I be?
Will I be pretty, will I be rich?"
Here's what she said to me...
"Honestly, son, don't be such an effin' pansy.">

ArgeauxHey, did you know that I really DID have an Auntie Flo?
She used to send me two bucks in a card every birthday.
She lived with her sister when they were both living. Auntie Maude and Auntie Flo.
I've never heard the "Aunt Flo" euphemism before.

FailteI got "Aunt Flo" from South Park. Plus I think I heard it on some sitcom. "Ellen" in fact, I seem to recall...

FailteSince we seem to like to share Major Events in our lives... although it's hard to compete with "my apartment burned down"-
I quit my current job today (planned), and this evening will sign on to my new employer. Still on this little island. I'm going from "staff programmer" to "one-man IT Department". So that's exciting.
What's not so exciting is - it sounds like I'm about to inherit a world of crap.

But, that's the computer-biz. At least it's another Linux shop (although there ARE Windows boxes to take care of too, dammit).
AND - my wife has gone back to the states, most likely permanently.
AND - since that's the case, I gotta move into "bachelor's quarters" - basically a studio-apartment with no kitchen. And that's okay too - lawn-care is not my baliwick.
I just wish I had a few days off to enjoy all these changes. Ahwell - if I did, then things might be SUSPICIOUSLY good...

FailteYeah. It's not a happy/shiny story, so I won't bother ya with it. It's not so much a "good thing" as a "relief".
