There is a song that is driving me crazy. I think it came out in the 70's, and I love the song, and I want to find the lyrics online and I can't. I don't even know the title, or who sings it. As a kid, it kind of reminded me of "Suicide Is Painless", but it's not the same song. (Maybe the same artist?) I used to think it was a breakup song, but as I grab the lyrics here and there, it seems it's about a young person contemplating suicide because of a lost love. I think the main lyrics are...

Chris Rea is who sang dat song- "Fool (if you think it's over)" back in the '70s. The album it comes from pretty much sucks but his best-of cd is pretty good. Remember "Let's Dance" from the late late '80s? That was him too.

Thanks, xc. I love that song. But the only "Let's Dance" that comes to mind from the 80's is from the early 80's and from David Bowie.

"Let's Dance" was a mostly FM album rock hit. Rea's voice was pretty scratchy on this one, scratchy a la Robbie Robertson but more melodic. Musically it was in the Boz Scaggs school of blue eyed soul rock. Here be the lyrics-
