Smirk MorganLions and Elephants and Camels--coming to a prairie near you?
Two articles:
from CNN.com:
Lions and Elephants on the Great Plains?from BBC.co.uk:
Big Game 'could Roam US Plains'heh...sounds whacked to me. On the other hand, it could just be the chlorine we need for the gene pool.
Didn't these guys see Jurassic Park?

JubsThis sounds like a horrible idea to me.
You can't just rip these animals out of their natural habitats.
It seems to me that these people are not taking enough time to think of the effects this will have.
Like the article stated, Africa's big tourist pull is the wildlife. If for no reason other than economic purposes, this should not happen.
Lions are big predators, they will eat us all. Yes, that's right.

zoomwe have enough trouble trying to protect our own indiginous predator populations (gray wolves...grizzlies...mountain lions) from habitat depletion due to human encroachment, as well as ranchers who see them only as the predators economically impact them (i.e. dead livestock). somehow i don't see turning Kansas into the Serengeti happening...
