Question about icons, etc.
Just now, in the What If thread, there was a little yellow flag looking thing under CorXena's name in one of her posts. I hadn't seen one of these little buttons before so I clicked it and it disappeared. What was it and what did I do?

You didn't do anything, I did.

I was mucking around with some settings.

That one indicates whether a Scroller is online, according to what Instant Message information they have given. CorXy must have had her AIM switched on.

I decided not to go with that option, so that people can retain anonymity, and also because I thought the flag looked kinda messy.

Also, I've had a good look and there is no option at this stage for getting a members list. I'm sorry about that, it's a feature I enjoy as well. Frown

whew. Thanks. Thought I was in trouble Smile

I wonder if perhaps the time restriction on editing could be altered?

Oh,I didnt even see that.
Yeah,had AIM switched on.

I dont mind pple seeing that I'm online but yeah, maybe it's better not to have that feature active.

If you want to pretty up your reply by choosing a posting icon, adding graemlins, etc. you choose the non-quick posting reply, as these features aren't activated in the quick reply.

If you can't be bothered waiting for the longer reply window to open, or it WON'T open for you (because your comp is slow, or some other reason) you just use the quick reply. Cool

Neat Smile Now I can race about, editing indiscriminantly.

Why doesn't it have an "edited by" thingy anymore? That seems convenient, yet shady.

I miss that there is no quick jump thingy anymore down the bottom, to jump to another forum..

Other than that, I love it here, except for the problems, Zoomie and Shawnie are having.

I LOVE MY NEW COMPUTER!!

Try clicking on the little house icon at the top or bottom of any forum (just to the right of where "The Daily Scroll" link is).

Alrighty. Why can't we delete a thread we've started? It says you can't delete a post when there are replies.

That's news to me.

I've set the controls so that users can delete their own posts, but there's no option to allow the deletion of threads.

Must be a "feature" of this software.

Best I can offer you is, if you want a thread gone, just email me or one of the Guardians for that forum, and we can do it for ya.
