lila997Cinematic True Confessions- a 1 question survey
Okay, fess up.
here's the question:
What ultra-huge movie or tv show that "everyone" has seen and that is totally a pop culture reference have you never seen? I'm not talking haven't seen because you are too young for it or whatever. I mean in the you-were-there-and-it- existed-in-your-lifetime-right-under-your-nose-but-you-totally-missed-it way. As in, people will say "You've never seen ________??!!?"

lila997I'll go first.
I'm a child of the 80's so these are big ones for my generation.
I've never seen
Ghostbusters. I've also never seen an episode of
Miami Vice.

<Rufena>Actually I just got around to watching E.T. last weekend and don't worry about Ghostbusters i've not seen it, either. My husband nearly choked when I told him I had never seen E.T. "Everyone has seen E.T.!!!!!" he said. Well, not this cowgirl. well, not until last weekend.

zoomi wish i had the time back i spent watching all the crap you just listed. know you missed nothing. except E.T.--it's a worthwhile watch.
never saw Titanic. mainly cuz i avoid Celine Dion like ebola, and i didn't want to hear that damn song.
not "cinematic"--but i can't say i'd recognize any given boy band--don't know NSYNC from Backstreet Boys from Menudo.

The XenatizerROFL! You have my sympathy.
Talking of songs..., 'Everything I Do' nearly prevented me from watching that rather nice Robin Hood. But since Alan Rickman was in it, I forced myself. -g-
Hehe... it is said that when they freed 'Ötzi' from the Austrian glaciers and thawed him, he woke and asked with dread: "Is Brian Adams still number one?"

JubsI had never seen Silence of the Lambs until about....40 minutes ago. *shudder* creepy, but The Ring still is the scariest movie I've ever seen.
I've never seen any pre-Pierce Brosnan Bond movie in full. I've seen small scenes when flipping channels, but i'm soon bored to pieces and change it.
I'd like to say I'd never seen Shrek, but, alas, I have.

I've never seen Silence of the Lambs either, or the rather gratitously gory (so I'm told) Hannibal or the recent Red Dragon.
I only very recently saw Blair Witch and laughed through the whole thing it was so cheesy and bad. What the hell were people thinking?
I must say I am continually shocked and amazed though at how many people have not seen the wonderfully campy classic Mommy Dearest (hey it ain't just me either, it's on RuPaul's list of top 10 movies ever)

tv shows like Survivor, Big Brother, MTV People on
the Road (whatever it's called), etc.

Never seen Seinfield, Roseanne, or Drew Carey tv
