Warrior Princess Jewel (I put this on the other scroll but it didn't transfer here so I reposted it)

Xena: Until tonight My heart was just half full, I'd never known the fruit which fed the soul-Now I see what may put to rest my longing-for I have seen the face of love
Gab: In silence I feared my heart would remain words unheard inside a separateness of skin
Xena: Take my hand, knowing, with it I also give my heart wanting to never be separate again
Gab: Let eternity began
Xena: If you were a flame I'd allow myself to be consumed completely
Gab: Were you wind I'd wish you to pass thru me

Warrior...Princess...Lucy Lawless

X: Hey that's not fair, she's not gay.
G: I know, but she plays a character who's gay.
X: Who says the character's gay?
G: Well there is debate on the point, I'll grant you that but that's why she's a gay icon. She doesn't dodge the issue, she doesn't deny the subtext, and is not shy about acknowledging her lesbian supporters.
X: You make her sound like some kind of superhero just because she rode in an Aussie gay parade with a hot blonde chickie.
G: What's an Aussie?
X: A person from Australia.
G: Is that near Crete? Are Australians Cretins?
X: (chuckling) Depends on who you ask. No, you have to travel to the ocean on the far side of Chin, and then sail south for several months. It's a hot dry land full of poisonous critters and vegemite.
G: Vegemite?
Xena shudders, then bites her lip, fighting the horrid memory.
X: That'll have to be tonight's campfire chat. I'll need your comfort and strength to recall that worse-than-Dahak memory.
The pair ride on in silence.

G: Hey Xena... what do you call a hundred armed villagers from Lesbos?
X: I can't imagine.
G: Militia Etheridge. ( laughs loudly )

(A man calls from a hilltop)
N: Has anyone seen my ship?
G: We're not looking for a ship. We're trying to find Bodaceia's army to help fight the Romans.
X: The battle begins at noon. Can we get there in time?
N: Only maddogs and Englishmen go out in the midday sun!
X: Geez... these people are weird.

Merry Christmas everyone. Oh how I've missed this game.

Not to mention Dame Edna.

Dame Edna Everidge is a gay icon? [Eek!]

point of clarification:
a "gay icon" doesn't necessarily have to be gay--just an icon of the gay community, ala Bette Midler, Barbra Streisand, or, yes indeed Brian ( [Big Grin] ), Lucy Lawless...
