I like beer. I like trying new and different kinds of beer. I know I'm not alone on this board either.

What beers have you tried over the years (or months, you pesky college kids) and enjoyed? Here's your chance to promote your local brewers or favorite imports. Or heck, to warn us off of a particularly bad brew.

Stella Artois-Belgian brew, which cannot be found in Oklahoma. I've looked. Anyone know if it's available in Texas?

Harp from the makers of Guinness.

Molson's my favorite Canadian beer

Warsteiner just tried this last night. Definitely worth another drink

Pilsner Urquell Czech beer. One of my faves

Corona

Shiner Bock Texas' contribution-and not a bad one.

Amber Bock it's an Anheuser Busch variety, but it was pretty good after taking the tour of the Budweiser brewery. *s*

so who has some suggestions?

I like coors, Hacker Pschor, Heineken, Killian's Irish Red, Pacifico, and Victoria Bitter.

The last time I was in Australia, I think Victoria Bitter sales where at an all time high.

VB (Victoria Bitter) is the most commonly requested local brew in pubs around Australia. NOT Fosters (the last time Fosters was the brew of choice was before I was legal to drink).

McEwans - a pale Scottish ale.

Miller - one of the few American beers I like (someone will tell me it's actually Canadian, now).

Cascade - an Aussie beer brewed with pure Tasmanian mountain water. Mmmmmmmmmmmm!

Smiky said some of my other faves - Pilsner Urquel and Corona.

You can get Stella Artois all over Oz. I've never drunk it again after having a few bouts with pints at the Chariots Of War convention and awakening with an almighty hang over. [Frown]

I'm a big Shiner Bock fan. I've heard Ziegen Bock was pretty good also.

And I HATE beer but I like Shiner. No bad aftertaste.

I like Tecate too, on occasion.

ooh..I like McEwans too, Argy.

Killian's Irish Red is also a good one, CDC

I forgot that we've got a mircrobrewery not too far from me called Royal Bavaria, founded by recent German immigrants, that's got some good brews and serves by the liter. *s*

Is a trip to Oz the only way to get Victoria Bitter?

Silly me, I forgot about one of my FAVE Aussie beers - Carlton Crown Lager. The KING of Aussie beers, IMO.

Looks like we have similar beer tastes, Nora. Where in the States are you? I may be able to sort something out re: VB. [Wink]

Each country must have at least 10 different kinds of beer.
My favourites are Guinness and Brazilian Bohemia. Harp is excellent, too.
Heineken, Budweiser and Miller are 'ok'. Corona is too light for me and, unfortunately, the only aussie beer I've tried is that Foster's thing.

Now here is a thread I with my name on it.
Some of my favorites:

1. Belhaven Brewery Co. - St. Andrew's
2. Newcastle Brown Ale
3. Left Hand Brewing Co. - Jackman's Pale Ale
4. New Belgium Brewing Co. - Fat Tire

Of course my old standby is a black and tan, Guinness and any of the above.
