Quite a few people have suggested this, so <=RB= is pleased to run our very first Secret Santa.

The idea is that, if you want to participate, you add your name to this thread. The cut off for adding your name will be the 15th of December.

When all the names have been collected, I will put them into a hat and have a separate list of the names with me, as well. I will then draw names randomly from the hat and match them to the list.

I will then let all participants know whose name has been drawn for them.

Once you have someone's name it is your job to buy that person a Steam game, and gift it to them on the 24th of December. I chose that date so that most people will have their game by the 25th.

A limit of US$5 is being set for games, so that more people can join in.

If you and your partner, or another family member, both want to take part in this event, please indicate this when you enter. I will make sure that none of you end up being drawn for each other.

So, to recap:

1. Put your name down by the 15th of December.
2. I will give you the name of someone to buy a game for.
3. Choose a game worth US$5 that you think they would like (you might want to take a look at their wishlist).
4. Send the game to the person on the 24th of December.
5. Feel good about yourself and your excellent gift buying skills.
6. Open your game on Christmas Day and cry tears of joy, happy, happy, joy.

SECRET SANTA STEPS

1. Please add everyone joining in the Secret Santa to your Friends List (all the people in this thread).

2. Presents are to be given out on 24 December / Christmas Eve.

3. If you forget who you are the Secret Santa for, contact Argy and she will tell you.

4. Let Argy know ASAP if you haven’t been given a present by Christmas.

5. Enjoy your Christmas game!

Yeah, it's a good idea to add everyone on this list as your friend, so they don't get suspicious beforehand.
