Who here speaks different languages (besides English, of course)? I'm just curious.

I can understand and read some Spanish. My grammar's terrible, though.

Um, other than English, I speak some French, I've had 4 years of it in school. I know a couple words of Dutch from when I lived there, and I can say a few sentences in Russian (thanks to t.A.T.u. and one of my friends [Big Grin] ).

I can understand a little Spanish - provided they don't speak too fast.

Aside from that, I speak two forms of English. English and BAD English. [Wink]

Ha ha [Roll Eyes] OK, Ulrich, what I ACTUALLY wanted to ask everyone was: what country are you from, and what languages do you speak? I know that English is a second language for a lot of people here, but it's hard for me to tell who doesn't know English as a first language because everyone here speaks it so well. [Razz]

So, from what I know about you, I will ask--do you speak German?

I only really claim english as language. But can understand Spanish very well, although I seem to have difficulty speaking it. A bit of French and Dine also. That is about it. [Smile]

...and here i thought Dine was the gourmet dining language. You know, "Pass the taters", "Pass the
corn", "Pass the cheese", "More eggnog please",
"More fried rice please", etc etc.

As most of you know, I am german - so there is at least one advantage. Most peeps say that german is difficult to learn...I am glad I don't have to go through THAT at least [Smile]

Anyways...apart from that I speak english, I can order a coffee in a french bistro (although the peeps start looking at me in a weird way when I do [Smile] ) and I can understand a little spanish (but just the plain basics).
