i saw the latest Hairy Potty flick not long ago. It was ok, it stuck very much to the book which kinda sucks. They should change things from the book to the film. This was part one of the last book. Best part was Hermione & Harry dancing to Nick Cave, and a nudie Hermione gettin it on with Potty. i dun believe she would like Ron Weasle, there's no charisma between them. Weasley would go for Luna Lovegooey who is more on his level.

Also saw "The Fighter". Christian Bale is awesome as the drugged out ex-fighter helping his bro (Mark Wahlberg) who is a fighter. Amy Adams is great here, too, and she's very hot!

i want to see "True Grit" and "The King's Speech" but will probably wait til they come out on dvd. Liked "The Town", best flick i've seen with Ben Afflicted in it.

So post good movies ya seen here unless you want to give them their own post. Whatever.

Movies i seen recently:

"Unstoppable" Denzel Washington & the runaway train flick. It's good 'cept for those Faux News reports that don't add to the narrative.

"Monsters" Dude & a chick have to travel thru the infected zone of Mexico, which contains giant jellyfish thingies from outer space. Not much monsters blood or gore but good romance road flick.

"The Girl who Played with the Firey Green Hornets Nest Tattoo" whatever trilogy. The 1st movie is the best, then it slightly goes down hill after that. The ending of the final film sucked but the whole thing is still worth watching.

i saw "Thor" recently. It worked better than i expected though i was hoping for a more serious version. Natalie Portman was a bit too giggly as Jane Foster. They didn't have Sif as the love interest she is in the comics. i wish Thor's time on earth had been before he met Jane, this making his exile & lesson in humility seem more realistic. But it coulda been worse- it could have turned out like that pile of garage aka "Daredevil".

One of the best movies I have seen as of late is 'Be kind Re-wind' Starring Jack Black and Mos Def. It's a wonderful low budget film and I love the theme of 'The People'. Always makes for great rainy day entertainment to whip out this film again and again.

Caught "Super 8" and "Tree Of Life" on dvd last nite. The former steals lots from "ET" & "Close Encounters" while the latter is artsy fartsy. Both were okay.

I rarely see movies because of the cost of tickets. The last movie I saw in the theater was Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, at a "picture show" two-screen theater right on the Mississippi. At the end they were handing out stuff and I thought it was going to be posters, or else raffle tickets, or else coupons for free popcorn or buy one ticket get one free. They handed out sample size bottles of HAND LOTION! Eek I thought that was seriously bizarre and thought, is this a backwards porno theater? Is the next film Hairy Porner? evil

Anyhoodle as far as movies, I recently saw Swing Girls . It's a 2005 Japanese movie about a group of students forming a swing band. Most of the actors didn't play their instruments and the director wanted there to be sour notes and all so the actors took lessons and were filmed through the learning stages. But it's a cute and funny movie that's safe to watch with grandma or the kids.

livres neufs à prix réduits

hmmm wassup with this "livres neufs à prix réduits" crappola, eh spammer? smash

i saw "The Amazing Spiderman" and "The Dark Knight Rises" lately. Spidey was good, better than Raimi's 1st & 3rd flicks. Plus an xc wife is in the movie- Emma Stonecrazed as Gwen Stacy.

i also liked the Batman movie best of all 3 films by this director.

i saw "Dark Shadows" recently. Goofy stuff, not like the tv show which was mellowdramatic instead of um goofy. But since the tv series was big on parallel time, i think the movie should be watched while thinkin it's a parallel time world. That'd explain why the characters are so unlike those in the series.

Bond, James Bond. i saw "Skyfall" the other nite. They actually had a reasonably good story without lotsa convoluted plot nonsense. Excellent cinematography and i liked the Adele song so good stuff all round.

"Frankenweenie" is pretty good. Lotsa nice horror flick references.

"Looper" i liked too. Time travel/mob flick. i wanna travel back in time & get more xc wives.

Not-so-good movie: "Killer Joe". Great performances but characters I didn't care about & it was about 15 min too long.

watched "Dredd" on dvd last nite. Karl Urban is Dredd, did much better job than Stallone. Olivia Thirlby is the cutie who plays the psychic rookie judge. Blood gore & violence with no plot.

"Another Earth". Sad & hopeful tale of chick seeking redemption, no it ain't Xena. Movie is less depressing than "Melancholia" which also dealt with dual planet too close for comfort to earth. But neither flick really had much to do with sci-fi. i loved how "Another Earth" ends but i ain't gonna tell ya & ruin it. So rent a copy.

"Bourne Legacy" or bored leg-fall-asleep as i call it. Bourne ain't even in it & the rest of it is either action scenes ya seen before or pompous bureaucrats actin all super-serious just to save their hide. Still, Rachel Weisz is a hottie.

"Compliance" Based on true events (unless Faux network covered it). Cute fast food restaurant chick is under fast food place suspicion for stealing mullah from purse. This from someone claiming to be a cop on the phone. If this wasn't bases on real story it'd be totally stoopid cuz you'd wonder how such idiots could exist even in fiction. Worth renting i guess.

I saw Les Mis a few weeks ago.. very long movie that. Also since I haven't read the book or seen the play or whatever, I didn't realize it was going to be ALL singing.

I thought there would be a song and then talking and then another song and then more talking, etc, but nope! All singing! Not that I have a problem with that, I just wasn't prepared is all. But at least now I can add 'On My Own' to my repertoire of pathetic songs. It will go along nicely with Heart's 'Alone'

The best part about the movie was that there were three empty seats next to me so I could lift all the arm rests up and stretch my legs out to the side and move about as much as I wanted to. I was *this close* to lying down..

Hansel and Gretel!! Totally ridiculous, but it knew that and just went for it and was great! Such laughs we had! Pretty good crowd in the cinema too, everyone was having a fun time!

Whenever I eat too much candy, I'm going to claim I have the sugar sickness from now on!
