Wild Roo (shiraz) and Jacob's Creek for US$14.00 a bottle at Carrefour. Does anyone know those wines? Are they good?

I've tried the Jacob's Creek before. It sells for about $8 to $9 here in Ohio. The bouquet is of a confectionery plum with a hint of red currant, for you wine-oh speakin' folks. Big Grin Big Grin Razz I liked it. *shrug*

Jacob's Creek is a mid-range Aussie wine.

It's a good drop. Good, not great.

I like it for a cheap tipple.

Never heard of the other wine.

I too have had Jacob's Creek plenty of times..

it's worth it's money... it's not too cheap, nor too expensive.

Never heard of the other one.

Proably one that gets marketed to other countries just cause of it's so called aussie sounding name...lol

I had a new good Australia wine last night- Rosemont Shiraz.

Not sure how popular it is in the states or in Australia for that matter but I liked it.

I like most Rosemount wines, but the Shiraz IS particularly good.

I have paid the winery a visit when I've travelled up to the Hunter Valley, which is the wine region of NSW.

Tasting wine is fun. Smile

Yes, for some reason, the Austrailians do Shiraz particularly well. Smile

We've got a top climate, and excellent soil, for Shiraz.

Our Chardonay is good, too. To me Petaluma is the pick of the bunch. I've seen that in London, don't know if it's available anywhere else.

Any reds by Penfolds are DEFINITELY worth a go.
