Glad you enjoyed. *edited cause for some unknown weirdo reason, my brain read "xenacrazed" but it translated as "Brucy Braless". Don't ask. I have no idea. So I fixed it. Sorry xc & Brucy. Meant to ask, how many pennies did that cost ya, xc? If it's not too bad, there's lots of great acts and those cooler songs almost no one got to hear, might be worth buying. ____________________________ I <3 4 foot 11, blonde, operatic wonders from Oklahoma. Sara, the box set was priced at about $59 before taxes but um i was given a discount on it by the record store clerkess so i only paid $40. I've seen it in online shops for between $50-55, though i haven't checked ebay or half.com. It's an excellent set, i hadn't heard many of those songs in ages. Hope you can get a copy, hey, maybe you can hint about it as a holiday gift from someone.

On my computer at work: In the CD drive: the Unlovables (cause I'm hooked) playing on my hard drive right now: "Inner Universe" by Origa (it's the opening theme to Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, haunting and beautiful) Also playing in rotation after Inner Universe: "One Minute Man instrumental" by Missy Elliot "Try Again instrumental" by Aaliyah feat. Timbaland "Simple and Clean" by Utada Hikaru from the Kingdom Hearts game I have a thing for rap back beats. I'm weird I know. I also seem to have a thing for video game soundtracks too. I'm such a freak. *edited to add the KH theme song*This message has been edited. Last edited by: Sara, ____________________________ I <3 4 foot 11, blonde, operatic wonders from Oklahoma. quote: Ah yes, Hoodoo Gurus, i forgot about them. I need to dig out their albums, such great tunes. Didn't know Nick Cave was an Aussie. The Go-Betweens are probably my favorite band of the four. Their newer cd's are excellent, and the older albums finally available on cd here now with bonus tracks woo-hoo! I wish they'd had The Stems on the Left of the Dial box set. They were a great Aussie band that had a nice cult following here. Maybe they could have exchanged the Lyres track for something by The Stems. Or maybe if there's a vol. 2 (which there needs to be).

Though it's not in/on right now, "Mind Body & Soul" is one of my top faves this year. Sounds better with each listen. I also like the dvd that just came out for this cd- live stuff, videos, a documentary. Lotta fun.

Home & car of recent- V/A Livin Lovin Losin - a tribute to the Louvin Brothers. All duets, mostly country artists. Best cover is duet by Patty Loveless (gotta love her) & someone named Jon Randall (?) of "Are You Teasing Me?". a double dose of Mooney Suzuki- their 1st cd- People Get Ready & their 3rd & recent- Alive & Amplified. i prefered the 1st one over the 3rd though the 3rd had the two songs i liked best- "New York Girls" and " "Hot Sugar". The Tormentos debut cd Grab Your Board. Gnarly surf instros, totally bitchin!
