You certainly described it well! I, too, am a "Moulin Rouge" enthusiast. I watched it on DVD the night before my trip to NYC and was humming the love song when I got to my hotel. I was checking in and the lady behind the desk was singing and her co-worker was humming along. I leaned in closer and it was the song "Spectacular, Spectacular"! I lmao and told them they were responsible for getting that song back in my head! I LOVE that movie!

WONDERFUL!!! Moulin Rouge is one of my all-time-fav movies!!!! You shoulda written that poem before the outcome of the DVD. Maybe they woulda put it on the back of it instead of their synopsis! I love your poem...thank you!

Beautiful poem Sera. It is easy to see how much you were inspired. My favorite stanza is this one: "and storm clouds did gather stars did collide but she loved me until the day she died" I have not seen the movie, but now I definately will

Sera, I loved it, I really did. The whole thing flowed really well, and you made me feel like I was there. I love the thoughts you conveyed and the images along with that. Honestly, a very good poem. lol, I may not see Moulin Rouge still, but I'm sure you did the scene amazing justice. Thanks for sharing with us. ~Gabber
