What if you can still get Mars Bars and Black Jack gum but you have to order it from an old-timey-candy-that's-still-made-but-hard-to-find place? What if there are a few online? What if we've had nasty, nasty rains here as well? What if during the worst of it I was helping Paco pick up a rental car to drive to Chicago so he could then fly to New York to pick up our eBay bargain of a Subaru? What if I never want to drive in that kind of rain again? What if it was some kind of devil monsoon rain? What if it was fine at first, oh look at the neat lightening, but then I literally couldn't see because the rain was so hard? What if it's that kind of weather they warn you about when they interrupt a tv show and you think it's bullshit because they made you miss the end of Joan of Arcadia to tell you it's raining? What if they did, incidentally, and I was taping Joan while this all took place only to find the last 20 minutes a weather broadcast? What if it really was crap weather, but I'm not sure constant coverage was warranted, maybe just an announcement followed by crawl reminders and the little state map? What if anyway, hail and everything, and there I am by myself in some little white sports number following Paco? What if I could barely make out his tail lights it was so bad? What if partly because I was a couple of cars behind because I'd been looking for the wiper switch at a stop light and someone had gone ahead of me? What if it was a busy road and I saw someone's lights pull over and hoping it was Paco I followed it? What if there's no way I'm staying on a busy 5 lane city street with no visibility whatsoever? What if I was going at a crawl myself but there were probably some who were just pushing through full speed ahead, or close to it? What if anyway, it was Paco that I followed into an apartment complex's parking area, and I got into the truck with him and the kids and we waited it out? What if I really don't drive that often, so it was sort of traumatic? What if speaking of traumatic, The Sopranos was sure something else this week? What if yikes!? | |||

What if when I read you couldn't get Mars Bars easily in the states, I was expecting the next line to say that they were all taken off the market because of some hideous secret ingredient? What if a Mars a day helps you work, rest and play? What if I haven't heard that slogan for a while? What if now it's all "Earth, what you'd eat if you lived on Mars"? What if, those ads were fun, with all the bouncing around? What if now there's just that annoying one for the Mars Lava bars, with the person sitting in that chair and the lava lamp and the annoying music and repetitiveness? What if I have a Snoopy in a speed boat happy meal toy? What if I hope we do get the neopets happy meals? What if, are you thinking what I'm thinking? What if, yes Brain, but I don't think they'd sell as well if they were called sad meals? What if my baby will not be 4 in 3 sleeps? What if I don't even have a baby?
